Built in the 1870s, Station Hall was once home to York’s main goods station and was a working railway building right up until the 1960s. Today you can soak up the atmosphere of this historic building as you explore vehicles spanning a century of railway history.

Uncover a fascinating array of station objects from our collection, see archive films showcasing station life, climb on board some of our carriages or relax in our railway-inspired restaurant.

Station Hall is also home to our luxurious Royal Carriages, a must-see for any visitor.
