Get up close to Flying Scotsman and tackle our new trail this Easter.

Come on, explorers! This Easter we've got Flying Scotsman, a new trail and the couple who visited all of Great Britain's 2,563 railway stations.

Flying Scotsman

Yep, everyone's favourite green loco is in North Shed for three glorious weeks from 1 April, including cab access for everyone. Find out more about Flying Scotsman's April visit.

Easter exploration

See the museum in a new way this spring and pick up our alternative Easter trail. On your journey you’ll meet the 72-year-old Centurion of the Tail Waggers Club and come face to face with the fastest steam locomotive the world has ever seen.

Continue the fun and craft your own light-up Easter card or hexaflexagon in our free drop-in activities. Hop aboard a Steam Ride and our Miniature Railway and make time to relax and refuel in our two on-site cafes.

Vicki and Geoff

They've visited all the stations and now they're here to celebrate their new book Great British Railways: 50 Things to See and Do. Come along on Thursday 16 April for a talk and book signing session with Vicki Pipe and Geoff Marshall, a duo seriously dedicated to all things railway. Find out more about the talk with Vicki and Geoff and book your tickets.
