Robot Railways – schools

Will robots take over the world? Inspire your students with the real-life applications of computing in this hands-on tinkering-style workshop.

In this workshop your students will use their scientific enquiry skills to investigate objects from the past and present then programme their own robot railway using block code.

Working together, they will test and improve coding designs and discover how and why computers are used on modern railways.

Continue your visit by seeing the signalling display boards on the Works balcony. Compare the boards with the real-life trains on our viewing platform. Can you spot any of the things you talked about in the session?
