We are open daily 10.00–18.00 (10.00–17.00 October – February) and closed 24–26 December. Any changes will be listed on our Visit page.

We strongly recommend a preliminary visit to familiarise yourself with the galleries and plan your routes around the museum.

Entrance

All booked groups should enter the museum via the car park entrance, which is located by the turning circle opposite the main car park. Groups will be directed to the Schools Meet and Greet Area on arrival.

Admission costs

Entry to the museum is free, as are all workshops and shows. 

The Mallard Experience simulator and Miniature Railway are available at a discounted cost for schools and youth groups. Please state at the time of booking so we can coordinate your visit.

If you are running late, please let us know on 01904 686 230 and we will do our best to rearrange your itinerary. This is not always possible and your school or organisation will remain liable for the cost if you miss a charged activity.
