Future Engineers – Schools 2020

Meet engineers, see our collection and work together in teams on a hands-on challenge.

This year's theme for Future Engineers school groups is sustainability and adaptability.

Future Engineers is all about inspiring the next generation of engineers. It seeks to bust myths about who engineers are and what they do and help your students to recognise the engineering skills that they use.

Your students will meet engineers in our Engineer Like Me game show, have opportunity to see the collection within the National Railway Museum and work together in teams on a hands-on challenge.

Aligned closely with the Gatsby benchmarks students will be able to talk to engineers who work in the rail industry and find out more about what they do, giving them opportunity to encounter local industries and employers.

Post-visit materials will support you further in drawing out connections between what engineers do, wider careers and the STEM curriculum.

Future Engineers is brought to you by Network Rail, Angel Trains, Eversholt UK Rails Group and Porterbrook.
