Educational visit request form

Use this form to enquire about an educational visit to the National Railway Museum in York.

We are open for educational visitors on Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays at 11.00 term time in June and July.

Your visit

For self-guided visits: we can accommodate one bubble of up to 40 people on Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays at 11.00.

Please make sure you have the correct adult-to-student ratio of 1:4 children under 7 years; 1:8 children aged 7–11; and 1:10 children aged 11–16.

Your contact details

We are supporting NHS Test and Trace and will retain the trip organiser’s contact details for this purpose. You can find more details in our Privacy Policy.

Your visit
Please note: You can currently book for Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 June to 23 July 2021.
Do any of your students have special educational needs or disabilities?
The National Railway Museum is a public place and it is a condition of booking that group leaders remain with their group at all times to supervise them.

Please confirm that you accept this requirement.

NHS Test and Trace
For the purposes of NHS Test and Trace, we are required to ask for contact details for all members of your group over the age of 16.  Please add the names and phone or email details below, and in doing so confirm you have their permission to share this information. This data will be deleted 21 days after your visit.

Departure time

NHS Test and Trace also requires us to ask for an approximate time of departure from the museum. We recommend a 2 hour visit, leaving at 13.00.
