Here's everything you need to know to help you plan a fantastic group trip to the museum.
-
Explore what to see and do for your group
-
All groups need to book in advance, you can book online at any time
-
You can build your itinerary for the day using our new group booking system where you can add galleries, exhibitions and activities to your day alongside your arrival time, lunch, and departure. The itinerary builder will account for the walking time between activities too
-
If you choose to book activities that are paid for, you can pay by credit or debit card at the time of booking. Formal education groups can also choose to pay by invoice, this option has a £25 processing fee and payment is required before your visit. See our booking terms for details
-
It’s best to have a clear idea of your group size, the ages of any children in your group and an idea of what you’d like to do before you use our itinerary builder and book your visit. You can make changes to your order up to 60 days before your visit, however, if you pay by invoice, you can only add to your order
-
Larger groups may need to split into subgroups if the chosen activities have limited capacity (e.g., a show). Our itinerary builder will recommend this and help you to build an itinerary for each subgroup if needed
-
The museum has an adult to child ratio policy for groups:
Ages 5 and under – 1:4
Ages 5 to 11 – 1:8
Ages 11 to 16 – 1:10
Ages 16 to 18 – 1:30
Over-18s – 1 responsible adult per group -
You can download risk assessment information, hazard identification sheet and insurance confirmation letter to help you create your own risk assessments
-
If you are travelling by coach, we don’t have any coach or minibus parking spaces on-site
