Please note that the northern side of the footpath through the Marble Arch tunnel on the approach to the museum will be closed from 11-15 December 2023 due to Openreach works in our area.

Marble Arch Tunnel, Leeman Road
Due to work being carried out by York Central contractors John Sisk & Son, the Marble Arch Tunnel on Leeman Road will be closed overnight on the following dates:
22 AUGUST: Closed between 23.00 and 01.00 for vehicle moves.
29 AUGUST: Closed overnight for vehicle moves (timings to be confirmed).
4–18 SEPTEMBER: 14-day road closure, in place Monday – Friday, 23.00–06.00.
Please check the City of York Council website for notice of other York road closures.

Cinder Lane footpath/cycleway diversion
Due to work being carried out by York Central contractors John Sisk & Son, the Cinder Lane footpath and cycleway adjacent to the museum will be closed and diverted along a temporary route from 31 October 2022.
